Coincidence

Sir, —During a recent visit to Sydney I purchased a 10s lottery ticket on a Friday. The consultation was one of 200,000 tickets and the number of my ticket was 94810. On the following Monday, at a different lottery office, I purchased a 6s ticket and the consultation was one of 200,000 tickets. Believe it or not, the number was 94810. I showed the two tickets to a lot of people in Sydney, including Mr Charles Tallentyre, the director of N.S.W. State lotteries. I had intended bringing the tickets back to Christchurch to show my friends, but, unfortunately or otherwise, I won £lO with the 10s ticket.—Yours, etc.,

M. LAWRENCE. July 3, 1965.
