A. Beaven Is Bidder
Andrews and Beaven, Christchurch - based manufacturing engineer and merchant, has made the bid for John Chambers and Son, Auckland engineers. Announcing this yesterday, the chairman of directors of Chambers (Mr G. N. Roberts) said that the take-over, if supported by shareholders, would bring together two firms both established well before 1900. Terms'of the offer have not yet been disclosed.
