Ten Foundation Members (N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, July 2. The formation of the New Zealand Finance Houses Association Inc. was announced by its chairman (Mr O. S. Heymann) yesterday. Foundation members are: Alliance Finance Corporation Associated Grou® Securities, Ltd., the Broadlands Investment Group, Ltd., General Finance, Ltd., Lombard New Zealand, Ltd., Manufacturers and Retailers’ Acceptance Company, Ltd., Pacific Factors, Ltd., and United Dominions Corporation (South Pacific) Ltd. Stems From Act Mr Heymann said the association was formed as a medium for consultation and cooperation with the Reserve Bank, as provided for in the Reserve Bank of New Zealand Act, 1964. Helpful consultations with the authorities had already taken place and the association had also been accepted by the Minister of Finance (Mr Lake), as representing the interests of the principal finance companies operating in New Zealand. Mr Heymann said the objects of the association were to promote the interests of the finance houses, to make representations to the Government and other authorities and to maintain honourable conduct amongst its members.
