Mr D. Stace, a former economic adviser to the Reserve Bank, who is now attached to’ the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organisation, left Auckland for Fiji yesterday He will prepare a report for the F.A.Q. on aspects of Fiji’s economy.—(P.A.) Mr J. W. Taylor has been appointed Director of Education for the Cook Islands.— (P.A.) Mr J. M. Powell has been appointed a member of the Egg Marketing Authority and the New Zealand Poultry Board. In both cases he was the nominee of the Canter-bury-Westland Registered Poultry Keepers’ Association Membership on both boards is for three years. Mr G. H. Battersby, of Christchurch, has been appointed a member of the Electricity Advisory Council. Messrs G. H. Burrows, F. W. Glover, D. B. McSweeney. W. A. Reid, D. R. Stack, A. J. Tate and T. A. Thomas have been appointed members of the Arundel Domain Board. Messrs N. L. Andrews, A. Cuthbertson, W. B. Duff, A. N. Gibson, G. O. Hamilton. iR. W. Hore, F. G. Kippenberger jun., A. B. McCulloch, and J. E. McCulloch , have been appointed members of the Glenavy Domain Board. I Mr D. Menzies, senior booking officer at the Christ-! church branch of Qantas, has j been transferred to Auckland; as a sales representative. Mr; G. Braithwaite, a booking officer in Auckland, will replace Mr Menzies in Christchurch.
