Increase In Membership
The annual meeting of the women’s group of the Royal Commonwealth Society was held recently when Mrs J. D. Arthur reported that the last year had been successful with an increase in membership.
Senior citizens had been entertained during the year and a donation sent to the Royal Commonwealth Society in London for an appeal for the blind.
Officers elected were:— president, Mrs J. D. Arthur; vice-presidents, Mrs H. S. Fraer and Mrs H. E. Goggin; treasurer, Mrs M. James; secretary, Mrs A. W. Morland; committee, Mesdames D. E. Ames, K. H. Bartlett, R. E. Drayton, G. D. Griffiths, J. G. Simpson, L. C. C. Spooner, A. M. Vile and J. N. Westgarth.
