1545 Now At Work (N.Z. Press Assn. —Copyright.! BRISBANE, April 13. A further 182 men returned to work at Mount Isa mines yesterday, 138 of them Australian Workers’ Union members. The remaining 44 were craft-unionists. This brought to 1545 the number of award employees working there. The number of A.W.U. men working underground is now 566. The number who returned yesterday was the second largest since the mine gates reopened on February 17. It compared with 155 and 1186 who returned to work on April 8.
