Television In Tahiti
(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter) NOUMEA, Radio Tahiti is to increase its broadcasting hours to 22 a day, and television will be introduced towards the end of 1965. A radio centre is also to be built in New Caledonia, and it too will soon broadcast for 22 hours daily. Radio Noumea is to be increased in power so that it can be heard in all countries bordering the Pacific. Work is to begin this year on the introduction of television in Noumea.
