Motel Tariffs
Sir, —I agree with “Motel Proprietor”; the long stayers are the ones to be encouraged. But charging per person is having the very reverse effect. Apart from the linen (which is optional in some motels) the extra ones in a motel make very little difference in cost and are not worth quibbling about. They certainly do not warrant the disparity of 2s 6d to 20s. “Holiday-maker” can rest assured that I, for one, will keep in line with the Automobile Association motel charges and charge per unit.—Yours, etc., ANOTHER MOTEL PROPRIETOR.
