HURUNUI TENNIS
Waikarl has emerged as the sole leader after the latest round of matches in the Hogg Cup section of the Huruntu tennis competitions. In an upset decision Cheviot was displaced as joint leader by Willoughby, which won by one game after the sets had been drawn, eight-all.
Championship points are:— Waikari 14, Cheviot 12, Hawarden 12. Omihi 8, Waiau 6, Scargill 6, Willoughby 6, Glenmark 2.
Matches resulted:— Hogg Cup.—ScargiU 93, Walau 86; Waikarl 10, Omihi 6; Hawarden 10, Glenmark 6; Willoughby 95, Cheviot 94. Under 15.—Glenmark 6, Omihi 2; Waikarl 32, Hawarden 27.
