60th Anniversary Of Ordination

A solemn Eucharist was celebrated in St. Michael’s Church on Saturday morning in thanksgiving for the sixtieth anniversary of the ordination to the priesthood of the Rev. Canon H. J. W. Knights. The Bishop of Christchurch (the Rt. Rev. A. K. Warren) presided at the service, which was sung by the vicar of St. Michael’s (the Rev. T. J. Raphael), assisted by the Rev. K. Schollar and Canon Knights. There was a large congregation.

At a luncheon afterwards, greetings were read from the Archbishop of New Zealand (the Most Rev. N. A. Lesser), the principal and members of Westcott House, Cambridge, the North Canterbury centre of the Red Cross Society, and others.
