It was conducted by the assistant Secretary of the National Council of Churches (the Rev. R. M. O'Grady). A special afternoon service was held in Christchurch Cathedral. Arranged by the regional youth committee of the National' Council of Churches, the service was the climax of a special programme of rallies and lunchhour meetings organised by the committee over the last two weeks.
