British Elections
Sir, —In all .the news reports so far about the coming General Election in Britain nothing has been said about the Socialist Party of Great Britain. Since the beginning of this year the S.P.G.B. has been campaigning strongly to put the case for socialism before the workers of Britain and the northern counties of Ireland. As is usual during .election times the press attempts to confuse Hie worker? by referring to certain other organisations as “the Socialists” or “the Socialist Party,” etc. The Socialist Party of Great Britain is a working-class political party that opposes all political parties which support or aim to improve capitalism. It counts both Labour to Communist parties in these categories. In the General Elec-; tion it will be contesting the Bromley (London) and Woodside (Glasgow) electorates and will probably gain a large number of votes. —Yours, etc., A SUPPORTER. October 5, 1964.
