N.Z. METHODIST FELLOWSHIP
First Convention Next Week The New Zealand Methodist Women’s Fellowship, a recent merger of the Methodist Women’s Guild Fellowship, the Methodist Women’s Missionary Union and Fireside Groups, will hold its first convention in Christchurch next week. About 130 delegates from all parts of New Zealand as well as many observers, are expected to attend. The natonal president is Mrs I. G. Baber, of Palmerston North. The convention will be opened with a communion service conducted by the Rev. A. R. Penn next Tuesday morning. The Mayor of Christchurch (Mr G. Manning) and a representative of the National Council of Churches will be speakers at the opening ceremony. The convention will finish on October 8.
