EXPANSION IN PACIFIC
(N.Z. Freis Association) WELLINGTON, August 25. Tourism in the Soutlh Pacific was expanding faster than in any part of the world, and a concerted campaign by New Zealand, Australia, and Fiji would take full advantage of this fact, said the general manager of the Tourist and, Publicity Department (Mr R. S. Odell) today. Mr Odell returned to Wellington this week from a conference in Suva with Australian and Fijian tourist heads. The conference had agreed that New Zealand and Australian tourist officials in the United States could work as a team to make travel agents keenly aware of the South Pacific.
