KENNEDY RESIGNS
Delegation To Convention (N.Z.P.A.-Xeuter—Copyright) ATLANTIC CITY, August 25. The Attorney-General, Mr Robert Kennedy, yesterday resigned from the Massachusetts delegation to the Democratic National Convention. He is expected to announce his candidacy for the Democratic senatorial nomination in New York in a few days. The resignation, which was expected, was announced by Governor Endicott Peabody, of Massachusetts. He said he would ask his delegation to approve Mr Kennedy’s sister-in-law, Mrs Joan Kennedy, as a replacement. Mrs Kennedy is the wife of Senator Edward Kennedy, of Massachusetts, who is recovering from injuries suffered in a plane crash last June.
