(N.Z.P.A.-Reuter—Copyright) NEW YORK, AUgUSt 24. The American weight-lifter, Norbert Schemansky, who is 40, Will compete In his fourth Olympic Games when he goes to Tokyo in October. Schmansky was the oldest man In the American weightlifting trials, in which he clinched his Tokyo piece - by winning the heavy-weight class. Sehemansky's Olympic record is:— 1948 (London): Silver medal (heavy-weight), 1952 (Helsinki): Gold (middle-heavy-weight). 1960 (Rome): Bronze (heavyweight).
