RESTRICTED ENTRANCE

Home Science Course (N.Z. Press Association) DUNEDIN, August 25. From next year admission of first-year students for the diploma in home science at the University of Otago will be restricted to candidates with university entrance. The University Council today amended the regulations on the recommendation of the senate.

Previously it was not compulsory for diploma students to have university entrance. The new regulation allows for candidates from outside New Zealand, without an equivalent qualification, to be admitted if the senate considers them qualified to undertake the course.
