Loss Of £62 Last Year The main reason for a loss of £62 16s in the year’s operations of the Canterbury Brass Bands’ Association was the withdrawal of the annual grant from the New Zealand Brass Bands’ Association, the Canterbury association was told at its annual meeting. It was decided to increase the affiliation fees to £2 10s from July this year. The following officers were elected: life patron, Mr C. B. Fowler; vice-life patron, Mr R. Simpson; president, Mr W. Deer; senior vice-presi-dent, Mr J. Raffety; junior vice-president, Mr F. Oakley; secretary, Mr I. Marriner; treasurer, Mr S. Hobbs; auditor, Mr A. Bruce; delegate to Civil Music Council, Mr L. T. Loversidge.
