Presentation Of Awards

After the official opening of the New Zealand billiards championships by the patron of the Canterbury association, Mr J. Mathison, M.P., the president of the New Zealand control council, Mr F. Holz, presented the following awards: Best snooker break in the 1963 championships: W. Harcourt (Wellington) with 85. Best billiards break in the championships: H. Robinson (Wellington) with 182. E. Simons (Canterbury also received a certificate for a break of 111, in the same championships. The following members of the local association were awarded referees’ badges, R. Higgs, R. O’Callaghan, J. Linton, J. Luke, p. Logan, W. Glass, W. Cranfield and L. Napper of Otago.
