Twin Toheroas
Toheroa “Siamese twins" were found at Muriwai Beach recently by Mrs L. Stephens, of Auckland. Just- over three inches long, the shell had two bodies inside with two tongues pointin- in opposite directions. The bodies are joined at the black flesh on the top. Dr. A. W. B. Powell, asistant-director of the Auck land Institute and Museum, said the find was most unusual. He had never heard of twin toheroas before.
