Christchurch had a sweeping victory tn the annua! Teachers' Colleges' tournament against Dunedin, which finished yesterday. Christchurch won 10 events and Dunedin five. Wins went to Christchurch tn gymnastics, table tennis <lB-61. women's indoor basketball <lB- - men’s hockey (3-1). Rugby (18-8), soccer <6-2), badminton (9-7), the cross-country event, and the men’s <l3-3> and women’s <l2-4) fencing. On Tuesday, Dunedin won the ludo <37-10). men’s Indoor basketball (37-25), women’s hockey (2-0). and the debate. Its sole success yesterday was in the women's outdoor basketball which it won. 33-21. With the inside backs, and particularly, T. Davis, the first live-eighths, showing a great deal more penetration, Christchurch had a deserved win in the Rugby. M. Douglas played a sound game at full-back for Christchurch and the most impressive of the visitors were M. Scott, a fast and vigorous flanker, and the half-back, B. Healev, who was responsible for some shrewd tactical kicking from the base of the scrum The subject of the debate was ■‘That the Beatles should be stomped on"; Dunedin took the negative.
