GENERAL RATE: A General Rate of TWO DECIMAL-FOUR NINE SEVEN PENCE (2.497) IN THE £l. Made under Sections 90 and 92 of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1954/’ “The Rlccarton Bush Amendment Act, 1947,” "The Canterbury Museum Trust Board Act, 1947,” and “The Rating Act, 1925,” for General Municipal purposes and to meet contributions payable to the Canterbury Museum and Rlccarton Bush Trust Boards. 2. STREET LIGHTING: A separate of DECIMAL NOUGHT SIX EIGHT EIGHT OF A PENNY (,0688d) IN THE £l. Made under Section 101 of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1954,” and "The Rating Act, 1925,” for the purpose of lighting Borough streets. 3. WATER RATE: (a) As to those lands and dwelling houses to which water is supplied a Water Rate of decimal five five of a pehny (.55d) in the £ (minimum £2). (b) As to those lands and dwelling houses to" which water could be but is not supplied, situated within 100 yards of the waterworks, a Rate of One-half (J) of the above-mentioned Rate. (c) On all buildings other than dwelling houses a Rate not exceeding Onehalf (i) ot the rate mentioned in paragraph (a) above. OTHER RATES (1) CHRISTCHURCH DRAIN. AGE BOARD: Rates made by a Special Order of the said Board on the 23rd day of June, 1964, will also be collected by the Council. (2) CHRISTCHURCH TRANSPORT BOARD: Rates to be" made by a Special Order of the said Board . on the 20th day of July, 1964, will also be collected by the Council. (3) NORTH CANTERBURY CATCHMENT BOARD: The Council will make, levy and collect the Rates directed to be made and levied and fixed as to amount, by Special Order of the said Board on the 3rd day of July, 1964—such Rates having been duly adjusted to unimproved value Rating. Notice is hereby given that pursuant to Section 76 of “The Rating Act. 1925,” a penal charge of 10 per cent will be added to all rates unpaid at the expir.atioh of 6 months and 14 days’from the date of the demand. . „ . It is further publicly notified that the whole of the abovementioned rates will be payable at the offices of the Rlccarton Borough Council, 199 Clarence street, Rlccarton, on the 10th day of August, 1964, and the Valuation Rolls will be open for inspection without fee by all ratepayers during office hours which are. from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday to Friday (inclusive), R.
