PUBLIC NOTICES NORTH CANTERBURY CATCHMENT BOARD RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL ORDER DIRECTING THE MAKING AND LEVYING OF RATES. PUBLIC NOTICE Is hereby given that at a Special Meeting of the North Canterbury Catchment Board held in the Board's Office. 21 Latimer square. Christchurch, at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 5. 1964, the following resolutions were adopted: THAT by virtue of the powers contained in the Soil Conservation and Rivers Control Act. 1941, and Its amendments, the North Canterbury Catchment Board hereby directs <by way of Special Order) that the rates as set out in the Schedule below, shall be made, levied and collected by the several Local Bodies within the limits of whose jurisdiction the Catchment Board District or any Special Rating Area within that district is situated. AH such rates shall be for the period commencing on the Ist day of April, 1964, and ending on the 31st day of March. 1965, and shall be payable in one sum on such date as shall be fixed by the Local Body making and levying the same respectively. SCHEDULE ADMINISTRATIVE RATE An Administrative Rate of .027 (decimal nought two seven) of a penny in the pound on the Capital Value «f all rateable property within the meaning of the Rating Act, 1925. or its equivalent on the Unimproved Value or Annual Value of all rateable property in the North Canterbury Catchment Board- District. ' WAIMAKARIRI-EYRE-CUST AREA A separate rate as set out hereunder on the Capital Value of all rateable property within the Waimakiriri-Eyre-Cust area, as defined in the Classification List signed by John William Kealy, Stipendiary Magistrate, at Christchurch on the 16th day of April, 1956. Ori such land as is classified in Class "A” a rate of .183 (decimal one eight three) of a penny In the pound. On such land as. is classified in Class “B” a rate of .122 (decimal one two two) of a penny in the pound. Oh such land as is classified in Class "C” a rate of .0488 (decimal nought four eight eight) of a penny in the pound. On such land as is classified in. Class “D” a rate of .0366 (decimal nought three six six) of a penny in the pound.

On such land as is classified In Class “E” a rate of .0244 (decimal nought two four four) of a penny in the pound. On such land as is classified in Class “F” a rate .0122 (decimal nought one two two) of a penny in the pound. ASHLEY AREA A separate rate as set out hereunder on the Capital Value of all rateable property in the Ashley River area as defined in the classification list signed by John William Kealy, Stipendiary Magistrate, at Christchurch, on the 11th day of June, 1957. On such land as is classified in Class “A” a rate of .3 (decimal three) of a penny in the pound. On such land as Is classified in Class “B” a rate of .24 (decimal two four) of a penny in the pound. On such, land as is classified in Class "C” a rate of .18 (decimal one eight) of a penny in the pound. . On such land as is classified in Class “D” a rate of .12 (decimal one two) of a penny in the pound. On such land as is classified in Class "E” a rate of .08 (decimal nought eight) of a penny in the pound. On such land as is classified in Class "F” a rate of .06 (decimal nought six) of a penny in the pound. SEFTON-ASHLEY DRAINAGE DISTRICT A separate rate as set out hereunder on the Capital Value of all rateable property within the Sefton-Ashley Drainage District. On such land as is classified in Class “A” a rate' of .1 (decimal one) of a penny in the pound. On such land as is classified in Class “B” a rate of .05 (decimal nought five) of a penny in the pound. HALSWELL RIVER DISTRICT A separate rate as set out hereunder on the Capital Value of all rateable property in the Halswell River District as is contained in the Counties of Halswell, Paparua, Ellesmere and Wairewa.

On such land as is classified in Class “A” a rate of .8 (decimal eight) of a penny in the pound. On such land as Is classified in Class “B” a rate of .666 (decimal six six six) of a penny in the pound. On such land as is classified in Class “C” a rate of .4 (decimal four) of a penny in the pound. On such land as is classified in Class "D” a rate of .266 (decimal two six six) of a penny in the pound. On such land as is classified in Class "E” a rate of .133 (decimal one three three) of a penny in the pound. On Such land as is classified in Class “F” a rate of .053 (decimal nought five three) of a penny in the pound. LAKE ELLESMERE DISTRICT A separate rate as set out hereunder on the Capital Value of all rateable property in the Lake Ellesmere District as is contained in the Counties of Ellesmere, Halswell" and Walreon such land as is classified in Class “A” a rate of .225 (decimal two two five) of a penny in the pound. On such land aS is classified in Class "B” a rate of .1875 (decimal one eight seven five) of a penny in the pound. On such land as is classified in Class “C” a rate of .12 (decimal one two) of a penny in the pound. On such land as is classified in Class “D” a rate of .03 (decimal nought three) of a penny in the pound. On such land as is classified tn Class “E” a rate of .015 (decimal nought one five) of a penny in the pound. PRICES VALLEY DISTRICT A separate rate on the Capital Value of all rateable property in the Prices Valley District, Wairewa County. On such land as is classified in Class “A" a rate of 1.5 (one decimal five) pence in the pound. On such land as is classified in Class “C” a rate of .4 (decimal four) of a penny- in the pound. On such land as is classified in Class "D” a rate of .2 (decimal two) of a penny in the pound. On " such land as is classified in Class “E” a rate of .1 (decimal one) of a penny in the pound. SELWYN RIVER CONTROL SCHEME AREA

A separate rate as set out hereunder on the Capital Value of all rateable property within that portion of the Board’s district covered by the Selwyn River Control Scheme. On such land as is classified in Class “A” a rate of .392 .(decimal three nine two) of a penny in the pound. On such land as is classified in Class “C” a rate of .3136 (decimal three one three six) of a penny in the pound. On such land as is classified in Class “D” a rate of .2352 (decimal two three five two) of a penny in the pound. On such land as is classified In Class "E” a rate of .1568 "(decimal one five six eight) of a penny in the pound. On such land as is classified in Class "F” a rate of .0784 (decimal nought seven eight four) of a penny In the pound.
