Called For Throwing

(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, February 16 The Midland fast bowler, N. A. Huxford, was twice no-balled for throwing in a Wellington senior cricket match at the Basin Reserve on Saturday. The square-leg umpire, Mr D. Galbraith, confirmed after the game that his calls were for throwing. He would make no further comment. Huxford, who has been on the fringe of Plunket Shield selection, said he was startled by the umpire’s rulings.. “I never changed my action at any stage.” He had not previously been called for throwing, Huxford added.
