Older Ewes Sell Weil (From Our Own Reporter) KAIKOURA, February 13. Older ewes showed a marked premium on Addington nates ait the Kaikoura ewe fair today. Younger ewes and wether lambs sold on a par with market rates, but ewe lambs were not quite up to these values. The yarding totalled about 11,000 head and included 2700 tiwo-tooth ewes, 4400 four and five-year-old ewes and 3700 lambs. After the hard winter the two-tooth ewes were not quite as big as usual. For the best of these, prices ranged from about 90s to 955, with an odd sale up to £5 3s, good from 80s to 90s, and others at 70s to 80s, Four-year-old ewes sold at 48s to 63s for pre-lamb shorn sorts, with November shorn at 40s to 46s and recently shorn at 40s to 595. Five-year-old ewes realised from 38s to 465. Principal sales included:— Two-tooth ewes: J. G. Latter, 160 at 93s and 55 at 795; C. A. McGregor, 70 at 100 s, 64 at 925, 74 at £5 3s. 43 at 90s; W. J. Harnett and Son, 66 at 955; A. W. Wilson, 162 at 945, 88 at 975, 85 at 90s, 82" at 90s, 70 at 91s; R. A. Howard, 149 at 91s; R. F. G. Latter, 130 at 86s; Fernleigh estate, 130 at 83s; H. C. Acton-Adams, 110 at 925; E. G. Latter, 140 at 84s, 64 at 81s; C. J. Aitken estate, 230 at 100 s, 76 at 80s. Older ewes: C. A. McGregor, 183 four-year-old late shorn ewes at 595; R. A. Howard, 85 four-year-old early shorn ewes at 60s; J. G. Latter, 156 annual draft ewes at 455; H. C. Acton-Adams. 249 five-year-old ewes at 38s; J. H.
