Boar Leaps To Death
(N.Z. Press Association) AUCKLAND. Feb. 16. A valuable Landrace stud boar weighing about 7001 b leaped more than ‘ six feet over the side of a truck at the Pukekohe Show Grounds on Friday and died after being taken back to his home farm at Ardmore. The boar, a three-year-old called Weeley Hero Ist, belonged to a Landrace breeder, Mr O. F. Abel. He had won three supreme championships at five shows and was regarded as one of the best of his breed in New Zealand.
