(NJ). Press Assn.—Copyright) SYDNEY. February 16. R. B. Simpson celebrated his appointment as captain of the Australian cricket team to tour England with a chanceless 113 in 226 minutes for Western Suburbs against Glebe in a club match yesterday.
B. C. Booth, the tour vicecaptain, hit a dashing 72 In 97 minutes, Including throe sixes, tor St. George against Gordon. At Newcastle, the tour newcomer, G. Coding, took five wickets for 61 playing for Waratah - Mayfield against Southern Lakes.
