Broken Windscreens

Sir,—l wish to agree with “Looker On” (“The Press,” February 13) concerning broken windscreens. One only needs to watch the traffic on a stretch of newly sealed road for a few minutes and marvel that more damage is not done, not only to windscreens, but to property bordering the roadside. Surely the Transport Department can do something about the motorists who choose to ignore the speed restriction signs, usually at someone else’s expense.— Yours, etc., ON LOOKER. Domett, Feb. 16, 1964.
