Sydenham Club Title To Thom

C. Thom has won the Sydenham Rifle Club championship after, tieing with H. Barker. In the shoot-off at .600 yards Thom had six consecutive bullseyes. Top scorer of the day was W. Tritt with’ a total of 141 and a possible 50 at-300-yards. Scores were:—

Player Replaced. A. J. Cooper, the professional Aus.tralian tennis player, has been replaced by M. Anderson for the coming tour of New Zealand. Cooper has an arm injury which will not permit him to play extensively for a period., according to advice received vesterday by the New Zealand Lawn Tennl* Association.— (PA.)
