■ (N.Z.P. A.-Reuter—Copyright) NEW DELHI, Feb. 12. An unbeaten century by M. C. ■ Cowdrey and a fifthwicket stand of 115 by Cowdrey and P. H. Parfitt enabled England to score 354 for five and lead India by 10 runs on the first innings at the end of the third day of the fourth test at New Delhi yesterday. Cowdrey, following his 107 in the last test at Calcutta, scored 102 not . out in 4hr 35min,- hitting .14' fours and one six. In the process, he rescued England from an uncomfortable position, coming in when it had lost fourwickets ’ for 153. Parfitt’was out for 67. the stand. lasting 2hr 27mih. Trying- a flashing off drive, he . gave a catch behind the wicket.
