FESTIVAL WEEK IN LYTTELTON
Round Table Has Plans
A festival week in Lyttel- j ton is planned for June or July by the Lyttelton Round Table, said a report at thej annual meeting of the Round Table, which was formed last September. Lyttelton had benefited considerably from tire efforts of the Round Table, said the report presented by Ute outgoing chairman (Mr R.. J. Stanley). Members had cleaned up| the beach at Corsair Bay, raised £219 for the Lyttelton sub-centre of the St. John Ambulance, assisted the Red-. cliffs Sea Cadets to transport 20 tons of pre-mix to Ripa Island, and raised £3O from the sale of Christmas trees to assist a destitute family in Korea. The Round Table received £3O ait the meeting from the Lyttelton Judo Club, which has ceased operation through 1 lack of sufficient supervision.' The money will be used for a project to be selected.
Officers elected were:— j Chairman, Mr H. I. Cowan;: vice-chairman, Mr J. R.: Priestly; secretary, Mr P. Mitchell; treasurer, Mr J. j Morgan.
