YACHTING TITAHI BAY TRIUMPHS
Cornwell Cup Result (N.Z Press Association) WELLINGTON, January 16. A win in the last race today gave Titahi Bay the Cornwell Cup for yachting The points leaders before the race. Auckland and Paremata. came home second to last and third to last respectively. In boisterous conditions. Titahi Bay quickly went ahead and never looked like losing the lead. At the end of the first triangle, it had a two-minute lead on Otago. Lyttelton took Otago on the first buoy of the last triangle, and Titahi Bay won by six minutes from Lyttelton, with Otago a close third. Next were Plimmerton, Wellington, Tauranga, Napier. Paremata, Auckland, and Timaru Nelson and New Plymouth did not finish.
