HURDLING RECORD
New Time By B. Poulsen The performances of Mrs L. Wilson in winning three of her events and coming second in the other, and the bettering of a Canterbury record in a hurdles event, were the features of the first night of the Technical College Amateur Athletic and Cross Country Club’s championships, held at Ensors road. Mrs Wilson won the 75 yards, 80 metres hurdles and the long jump—with Mrs V I. Young second in the latter two—and was second to Mrs Young in the shot put. In the girls’ under 15 80 metres hurdles, B. Poulsen, with a time of 13.2 sec, bettered the Canterbury record by a tenth of a second. Results were:— WOMEN Senior.—7s yards: L. Wilson L L. Hurrell 2, R. Aibrett 3.
