Linwood H.S. Has Innings Win A fine century by M. FLewellen and some penetrative spin bowling by R. Hughes and D. Quested enabled Linwood High School to defeat Cashmere High School by an innings and 42 runs yesterday. Flewellen dominated the Linwood innings with a pati(<it 121. He was seldom in trouble against a rather mediocre bowling attack in which only A. Dunbier show any penetration. Later in the Linwood innings Quested hit an aggressive, unbeaten 45 to turn in a good all-round performance. Scores were: Linwood High School 261 for seven declared (M. Flewellen 121, D. Quested 45 not out; A. Dunbier four for 46) beat Cashmere High School 120 (R. Ryde 36; R. Hughes four for 27, D. Quested three for 51) and 99 'R. Ryde 56; G. Rothel three for one, R. Hughes three for 25) by an innings and 42 runs.
