‘Best Left To Local A.A.’ The reduction in the number of 30 m.p.h. speed zones was best left to individual automobile associations, the executive of the South Island Motor Union decided yesterThe matter arose from a resolution passed at Fie annual meeting requesting the executive to consider the reduction of 30 m.p.h. speed limit areas. The meeting agreed that each area knew its own needs best. It was the policy of the Transport Department to change from the 30 m.p.h. limit to limited speed zones where possible.
