RE-ELECTION OF CHAIRMAN

Westland Power Board Mr R. J. Bradley was reelected unopposed as chairman of the Westland Electric Power Board at the annual meeting in Hokitika on Wednesday evening. Mr J. L. Maitland was appointed unopposed as deputy-chairman. The chairman's honorarium remains at £l5O a year. Members voted on a motion that a payment should be made for attendance at meetings. It was necessary for Mr Bradley to give his casting vote, and he did so in favour of the motion. The meeting then decided on a payment of £1 a meeting. The chairman, deputychairman, Mr Houston and Mr Stewart were appointed as the works committee.
