PARTY-LINE CHARGES
“Reduction In Near Future*' (N.Z. Prtss Association) AUCKLAND, Nov. 10 A "very considerable reduction” in telephone charges on rural party lines would be made in the near future, said the Postmaster-General (Mr Kinsella ). National candidate for Hauraki, in Thames tonight. I “We have just concluded lan examination of thia prob- ' lem and in some cases charges will be reduced by more than £2 10s," he said. I “This, together with a progressive reduction of the I numbers on the party lines, will improve the communica|tions set-up. I “This is the type of thing we are trying to do to make life in the country more attractive.”
