Lap Dogs In Salons

MELBOURNE. Poodles in Melbourne maysoon have difficulty keeping beautiful. Women having their hair waved and their nails manicured in the city’s beauty parlours are complaining they do not like sitting next to a French poodle undergoing the same treatment. Neither do health inspectors approve. A recent conference of the Victorian Health Inspectors’ Association urged that the regulations be amended to ban all animals from beauty parlours. One health inspector said that inspectors did not have the authority to ban French poodles. He said that after complaints he found one beauty parlour had shaved, tinted and shampooed poodles on at least three occasions.—Reuter.
