League Club Gambling
SYDNEY. Poker machine profits have paid for a £20,000 guest house bought by the South Sydney Junior Rugby League’s Club to provide cheap holidays for members. The club president, Mr G. W. Wintie. said the club made nearly £120,000 profit from poker machines between November, 1962, and May this year. Poker machines are banned in five of Australia's six States.—Reuter.
