Motor-Cycling N.Z. Man Wins Two Titles
IN.ZP.A.-Reuter—Copyright) TOKYO, Nov. 11. In Japan's first world grand prix motor-cycling event yesterday. New Zealand's Hugh Anderson won the 1963 world motor-cycling 50 c.c. and 125 c.c. championship classes, and South Rhodesia's Jim Redman won the championships in the 250 c.c. and 350 c.c. classes. The races were the last of the series of meetings for the 1963 world motor-cycling championships. They were held at the six kilometre Suzuki circuit in Mie Prefecture, Central Japan, before about 150,000 spectators. The makers’ championship for this year went to Japan's Suzuki team in the 50 c.c. and 125 c.c. classes and also Japan's Honda team in the 250 c.c. and 350 c.c. classes. In the 125 c.c. class, Anderson was followed by Redman, Frank Perris, of Britain, and Bert Schneider, of Australia. 1
