RUSSIAN WOOL

Use For Good Of Industry fNX. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Sept. 11. There was not enough wool m the world and if the Russian people could be shown how to handle the wool of 150 million sheep properly, then that would be good for the wool industry, the Wool Board’s field officer, Mr W. G. Bowen, said today. It was a way of solving the problem of keeping up production to meet consumer demand, he told the annual meeting of the Leather and Shoe Research Association. Mr Bowen said that was the answer to a question he was asked everywhere—why did he go to Russia to help them. He said the Russians were fully aware of the value of the animal that produced both a fibre for clothing and meat and fats.
