Tunku To Intercede
(N.Z.PA.-Reuter —Copyright) KUALA LUMPUR, Sept. 10. The Malayan Prime Minister (Tunku Abdul Rahman) is taking up the Buddhist question President Ngo Diem, of South Vietnam. The Tunku told reporters he was doing this ‘‘in a friendly manner.” The Malayan Buddhist Association has appealed to the Tunku to intercede to “end the religious discrimination and persecution” in South Vietnam. The Tunku said a letter would be sent to the South Vietnamese Government through diplomatic channels.
