Maori Battalion Memorial
(N.Z. Press Association) PALMERSTON N„ Sept 11. An ambition formed in the Second World War, a national memorial to the famous Maori Battalion, is beginning to take shape in Cuba street, Palmerston North.
This Maori community centre will eventually be three storeys, but only two will be erected until funds are available for the third, which will provide sleeping accommodation for Maori and pakeha visitors.
