BANK OF N.S.W. MEETING

(N.Z. Press Association) WELLINGTON, Aug. 16. A further meeting of proprietors of the Bank of New South Wales has been called for Septemebr 27 this year. The meeting has been called to confirm the resolution to amend the bank's deed of settlement which was passed unanimously at toe meeting on June 28. The, resolution must be passed by “proprietors holding more than one half of the shares standing on the bank’s Sydney share register.” The chief manager of the bank for New Zeland (Mr D. M. Arnold) said today that every effort was being made ‘‘to ensure this archaic provision does not defeat us This will bring the deed of settlement, which is the bank's articles of association, into line with modern practice and the Companies Acts of Australia and New Zealand.”
