Profit Improved Further (NJS. Press Art*.—Copyright) MELBOURNE, Aug. 15. Australian United Corporation, Ltd., finance and development subsidiary of lan Potter and Company, stock and share broker, improved its profit a further 10.18 per cent, to £613,756 in the year to June 30. Last year profit was £557.162. This result was after tax up from £178,415 to £235.288 but after lowering provision for contingencies from £81,920 to £40400. Dividends Dividend on toe ordinary and participating preference shares is steady at 10 per cent. Final 5 per cent, will be paid on September 30. Books close September 16. The profit also includes the interest of outside shareholders in toe year’s profits of subsidiary companies. This was only £49,217, compared with £83,708 last year. This means that the profit available for shareholders of Australian United Corporation was up from £473,393 to £564,539, an increase of 18.25 per cent.
