(Special Crspdt. N.Z P A.) LONDON. July 19 Describing “housework" as having become a dirty w’ord. the "Daily Telegraph's" women’s editor ran a competition to hear from housewives any better alternatives they might have in mind. The prize went to a woman who suggested “homecare.” She W'rote: “It has the ring of responsibility about it and leaves the impression of caring for a home rather than working for a house. This surely is a worth-while career and anything which promotes more love and attractiveness in the home is most essential if we are to have a happy family life and homes which are homes and not houses." Other suggestions were: homelore, housecare, housecraft, housewifery, homework, and home management husbandry.
