Private Set In Scotland

A four-horse starting stall built in Britain from a blueprint supplied by the New Zealand designer, Mr E. Wood, is being used privately by the racehorse owner Mr Robin McAlpine, of Fitzroy House, Scotland. to school two-year-olds likely to race in France, where the stalls are standard equipment. says the 'Scotsman.”

It is a transverse-tube type, mounted on wheels, exceptionallj' light, with doors which can be operated either manually or by a battery. The “Scotsman" says Mr Wood has been asked by the jockey club to design a sixstalled starting box mounted on wheels. He has also been asked to carry out a survey of English racecourses and to provide a blueprint to show whether the starting stalls are practicable.
