F. Patterson, who will fight the world heavyweight champion. S. Liston, at Las Vegas on July 22, is giving op sparring for a few days because he is already down to his planned weight of I3st 131 b Liston, who’ now weighs 15st 121 b and plans to enter the ring at ISst 51b, also sparred four rounds at his training beadquarters yester-
day. J. Nflon. Liston’s adviser, appeared at Patterson’s headquarters on Saturday- but ordered out after watching the contender spar one round. He later said: “I had heard he was real sharp in Saturday's workout. I only got to see one round, but he was very impressive in that one.”
