Johnson 44> by an innings and 56 runs. Yorkshire 10 points. At Swansea: Glamorgan 256 and two for 88 beat Surrey 79 and 264 for eight wickets. Glamorgan 10 points. At Nuneaton: Kent 231 and eight for 189 (P. Richardson 139 not out) beat Warwickshire 315 and 104 (A. Brown eight for 47) by 10 wickets. Kent 10 points. Warwickshire 2 points.
At Leicester: Somerset 302 and 264 beat Leicestershire 266 and 146 IF. Rumsey three for 27. B. Langfotd three for 22). by 154 runs. Somerset 10 points.
At Lord's: Middlesex three for 326 declared and seven for 220 declared (P. Parfitt 50) beat Essex 287 and 101 (D. Bick five for 42) by 158 runs. Middlesex JO points.
At Worcester: Sussex 117 and 329 (L. Lenham 77. J. Parks 40» beat Worcestershire 195 and 196 <D Richardson 67) by 55 runs. Sussex 10 points. Worcestershire 2 points.
At Portsmouth: Lancashire seven for 340 declared and 228 <G. Clayton 78: D Shackleton five for 41) drew with Hampshire eight for 386 declared and eight for 169 (H. Barnard 78). Hampshire 2 points At Oxford: Northamptonshire four for 343 declared and one for 245 i B Revnolds 145 not out. R. Wills 83) beat Oxford University nine for 304 declared and six for 283 declared <R Thomas 135 not out. F. Davis 63) by nine wickets.
