SMALLBORE RIFLE SHOOTING
Christchurch Beats Ashburton
The annual small-bore rifle match between the Christchurch and Ashburton smallbore rifle associations was fired at Ashburton recently. Both Christchurch teams recorded good wins The Christchurch open team again showed the form that made them New Zealand champions last year, dropping only Il out of a maximum 2000 points. The most notable performance of the match was that by Miss Hazel Johnson, of the Coronation Club Although only a junior shooter, she returned the highest score for the Ashburton association.
